Hi Everyone!
Connie grew up on a ranch in rural Nevada, raising beef cattle. She graduated from High School in 1995 and enlisted in the US Navy. Thirteen years in the Navy took her up and down the East Coast and around the world on the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. At that time, she made the decision to separate from the Navy and took a position at an electrical power plant in Dickerson, MD. She settled in Frederick, MD and was very happy. After suffering an injury at work, and realizing that she needed to make a life change, she decided to take a chance and enrolled in the Central Maryland School of Massage. Graduating in October of 2012, she completed her licensing requirements and started work as a massage therapist. She has found this work to be amazing and decided to add skin care specialties to her list of skills. She attended The Baltimore School of Massage's Steiner Institute of Esthetics and received her Esthetician's license in November 2014. She is excited to add facials, waxing and body services to her list of services. At this time esthetic treatments are not possible in the current location, but she has some great ways to help you with your skin care and does provide some treatments for acne and for wrinkle (anti-aging) management using light therapy.
In 2016, she started teaching massage at the Central Maryland School of Massage. What a great way to share your experiences and improve your own self than by teaching. Unfortunately, the school closed in 2019, but it was a wonderful experience. Then COVID shutdown everything, including Connie's work. Not wanting to sit and do nothing, she enrolled in an online degree program through Purdue Global University and completed her BS in Nutrition in November of 2021. She is working on determining the best way to incorporate her knowledge of nutrition into the services she provides.
